Marrying 2 Deodorants

Here it is. creamy, lovely and nothing at all like the mush from this previous post. After working on perfecting the texture of my stick deodorant since 2012 and reintroducing ingredients I feared were on the way out (but seem to be on the way in again), it looks like this might just be the winner.

Looks like.

I say this with a certain hesitation.

Why?

Because we've seen things poop out after a bit of use, so let's just hold our horses before we start jumping around in glee..

But it really does look like...

Ingredient List

This deodorant stick contains mango butter (which I've never used in a deodorant), stearic acid (a coconut and/or palm oil based texture-giving ingredient), fractionated coconut oil (to keep it as non-fatty yet 'glide-y' as possible), lemon ester, farnesol and a lovely mix of essential oils (lemon tea tree, clary sage and lavender) that double as odor-busters and scent givers.

The Best Critic

My husband is what some might categorize as brutally honest. I use this expression in the kindest sense, as he is also quite constructive in his reviews of my products. He has given this version a tentative thumbs up (he has also been testing all the other versions – even the ones that have pooped out after long term use).

Only time will tell if this marriage of 2 stick deodorants is the final version, but so far, it's looking like a winner.

Fingers crossed.

Sounds really cool and I hope it's the winner. It's great to see a natural deodorant that does not involve baking soda. I'm currently using coconut oil with added essential oils, which works fine in winter but won't get the job done in warmer months. If your deodorant gets through testing and becomes available next summer I'll have to give it a try.

I love the idea of using coconut oil in deodorant! It looks great, and I bet it smells great too! :)

E.E - thanks so much! It is actually still behaving very nicely so fingers crossed it really is the one!

Hi Anne-Marie - Thank you for your kind words! I've been incredibly pleased with the scent of this one (a new combo for me), and when my husband praises it as well, it may be a good unisex scent :)
