Here are some links you might find interesting. All in German, though:

And even a court order which bans a company to advertise the salt with a picture of Himalayan landscape because this salt isn't produced anywhere near the mountains ;):

I hope google translator is of any use here.

Danke Schön Goodgirl! I am on my way to check these out! (Google Translate and I are old friends.. I'm sure between my very rudimentary German and the translator it will be fine)

Hi Lise

I have a patch behind my ear that has really improved with using the salt bar so thank you for that as I was at my wits end and have been reluctant to go to the doctor for something so minor. I wonder though if I am drying out the area too much as it's rather scabby, although that is likely to be due to the overwhelming desire to scratch every now and then! Would a balm or emulsion with salt be better and have you ever made one?

thanks Anna

Hi Anna - Thanks for your comment. I have never made a balm with salt but you could try gently applying a pure unrefined shea butter over the area directly after using the salt. Best of luck with it!

Hi, Is it possible to DIY salt bars? thanks
Donna

Hi Donna -- Interesting idea but I don't think it's possible-- these are cut out and shaped (have you seen salt lamps and the likes? - they are cut from one piece).
