Discount Solution - Lavender Foot Scrub and Spa Treatment
Last week I wrote about keeping your feet looking great for life with a 5 minute daily routine. Here's a foot treatment that is perfect for those days when you have time for 'a little extra'. One of the best ways to keep hardened skin from building up on the feet is to stimulate circulation in them. Here is an ideal way to stimulate, polish, remove dead skin, and pamper your feet silly.
You will need the following:
- a tub of warm water (big enough for both feet)- a towel
- 1/2 cup of Himalayan salt (fine) or sea salt (fine)
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup of sweet almond oil
- lavender essential oil (be sure it is 100% essential oil – not a scent oil!)
- your preferred body butter, lotion or cream
- a pair of old cotton socks
Method
Mix the salt, almond oil and 4-5 drops lavender oil in a small bowl. The texture should be like a thick porridge. Set aside. Fill the tub with warm water and add 3-4 drops lavender oil to the water. Situate yourself so you will be able to scrub and rinse without having to move from one spot to the next.Soak your feet for about 5-10 minutes or until the water begins to turn cold. Empty the water out. Now, dip into your scrub mixture and apply half of the mixture to one foot and massage your entire foot with it. Pay particular attention to the heels. Repeat the procedure for the other foot. Rinse well and dry your feet.
Apply a layer of body butter, cream or lotion to your feet. This will extend the effect of your scrub. Take your time and massage the moisturizer in. Wear socks until your feet have had time to absorb the moisturizer fully. Enjoy your refreshed and fabulous-looking feet!

I'm asking because these are my limitations at the moment, but would love the treatment! :)
Yes, you can replace with jojoba. You can also leave the lavender oil out if you prefer. :) Have fun!
